My Aunt Mary ran this post office. I remember going to her house and she would always make me Applesauce Pie - stating it was my favorite. It never was, but my grandmother (Cleo Harvey - daughter of Cecil Pack) always forced me to eat it. I grew to love that pie and miss it dearly now. You can reach me at jennifermkillby@aol.com
That's a great story! Would you like to write a story about your Aunt Mary? Or anything else you're interested in writing about pertaining to Streeter. I would love to add it.
I passed by that old P.O. many times as my dad Dannie Pack) would take us down to his old home place on the Streeter Creek. It belonged to his grandfather Oliver C. Pack. He told me many stories about his years growing up and the people in Streeter. He attended the old school house that sat upon the hill. If you have any blogs on the Pack/Harvey family history, I would appreciate it if you would let me know how to find them. rhondaandbennie4236@gmail.com
